Price: $350 Youth Athletic Camps Strength and Conditioning 1 Monday, June 10-Thursday, June 27 (M-Th) 1:00pm-3:00pm Rising 6th-8th boys Price: $300 St. Thomas Youth Strength & Conditioning Camp seeks to teach young athletes the proper form and method for exercises within their age range. Our intent is to properly teach each athlete how to perform the movements safely and effectively, thus giving them a solid foundation that will carry forward with them to their next season/sport. Athletes of all physical abilities are welcome, and exercises will be modified to ensure safety is maintained based on skill sets. All sessions will all be held at St Thomas High School in our weight room and practice fields, Monday through Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00pm. Each camp will run for three weeks in total. Session 1 will be from June 10th through June 27th. Session 2 will be from July 8th through July 25th. Basketball 1 Monday, June 10-Thursday, June 13 9:00am-12:00pm Rising 6th-8th boys Price: $300 St. Thomas Youth Basketball Camp is open to rising 6th-8th graders. Campers will learn to become self-disciplined and gain self-confidence that will be used not only in basketball games but also in their daily life. Campers will be challenged in a competitive environment to develop the mental and physical skills necessary to compete. All ability levels welcome! Baseball Monday, June 17-Thursday, June 20 9:00am-12:00pm Rising 6th-8th boys Price: $300 Designed to provide a fun, low pressure atmosphere where players can receive individual instruction to improve their fundamentals while developing a love for the game. Players will learn fielding, throwing, base-running, sliding and pitching fundamentals, all within the confines of our new Fr. Wilson Field, home to 24-time state champion Eagle Baseball. All campers should come equipped with everything they would take to a baseball game: baseball pants or athletic shorts, bat, batting gloves, batting helmet if available, fielding glove, cap, cleats or athletic shoes. Camp t-shirt included. Camp is open to rising 6th-8th grade boys with some baseball experience. This camp is not recommended for first time/beginner baseball players. Track and Field Monday, June 24-Thursday, June 27 8:30am-11:30am Rising 6th-8th boys and girls Price: $300 Designed by Eagle state championship coach and former University of Houston track and field performer Nathan Labus to teach, instruct, and guide campers with the most cutting-edge techniques for the respective individual events. This camp will offer instruction in shot, discus, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, blocks/form running. Training sessions are designed in small groups so coaches and counselors have more opportunity for one-on-one instruction. Campers should be equipped with running apparel, running shoes, running watch, towel, and water bottle. Camp t-shirt included. Camp is coed and open to rising 6th-8th graders of all ability levels. Football Monday, July 22-Thursday, July 25 9:00am-12:00pm Rising 3rd-8th boys and girls Price: $300 We are looking to provide the best experience possible across all skill levels and for all interested in football. Our goal is to teach all three phases of football across the course of four days. This group will rotate through individual and group training, which will focus on progressively building on what they’ve learned the previous day. Your student-athlete will be taught the importance of teamwork, consideration of others, self-discipline, and how sports will be a factor in their journey for years to come. All staff will be in school compliance to ensure all necessary safety procedures are followed. We want all players to leave at the end of the week with a positive experience with football and an excitement to go into the next season as a better version of themselves.
